¿Episodio IV?

Leyenda: Desde el principio de los tiempos, George Lucas tenía pensado hacer nueve películas de La Guerra de las Galaxias, divididas en tres trilogías: las tres originales, más tres precuelas (sobre Darth Vader) y tres secuelas.

Pruebas a favor: En el estreno de La Guerra de las Galaxias, la gente se quedó flipada de que apareciese en las letras del comienzo el rótulo “Episodio IV: Una Nueva Esperanza”. Además, el propio Lucas ha declarado lo de las nueve películas.

Pruebas en contra: En realidad, el rótulo no salía en la película estrenada en 1977. La primera vez que apareció fue en 1979, en un libro oficial que incluía una transcripción en forma de guión de la película finalizada. Y es que el guión de rodaje ni siquiera tenía el título de Star Wars. La primera vez que se utilizaron los episodios fue con El Imperio Contraataca en 1980, y más tarde con el reestreno de la primera entrega en 1981.
